Pete’s role in Mercia Business Loans is as Fund Principal for Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II) Debt Finance fund across Yorkshire & Humber. He works with the investment team and their activity in supporting the Region’s SMEs with loan funding for growth, acquisitions, management buyouts and working capital requirements.

With over 30 years' lending experience, Pete has extensive expertise in SME finance and relationship management. Having supported businesses across the region since 1996, he focuses on helping ambitious companies access the funding they need to achieve their growth plans.

Previous experience

Pete joined Mercia in 2017 following a long career with RBS Group, where his final role was Director, Commercial Banking for South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire. He led relationship management teams and supported a wide range of SME clients across the region.
