David is an Investment Manager deploying the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II) across West Yorkshire with a particular focus on the Kirklees, Calderdale, Bradford and Wakefield areas.
He works with ambitious SMEs seeking funding to support growth, providing loans for working capital, asset purchases, expansion projects, acquisitions and management buyouts.
David has over 35 years' experience in business and commercial lending and is passionate about helping business owners access the finance they need to achieve their growth ambitions.
Previous experience
David joined Mercia in 2018 bringing extensive experience from both the banking and commercial finance sectors. Prior to joining the team, he spent six years at Key Commercial Finance Solutions where he worked as an independent commercial finance broker supporting SMEs across Yorkshire with funding solutions from a wide range of lenders.
Before this, David spent 28 years with Yorkshire Bank in a variety of relationship management and business development roles. Much of his career was focused on commercial lending, working with businesses across a broad range of sectors and developing a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing growing SMEs.
