Paul is Risk & Portfolio Director for the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF).
He joined the Group in 2017 and, in his current role, draws on his extensive lending and investment experience to oversee all aspects of risk and portfolio performance, leading a team of Portfolio Managers.
Paul recognises the vital role SMEs play in the UK economy and is passionate about supporting businesses to thrive and achieve their full potential.
Previous experience
With almost 40 years’ experience across banking, asset finance and SME lending, Paul has worked with businesses across a broad range of sectors, giving him a strong understanding of the financial and strategic challenges faced by SME owners and management teams, particularly when navigating periods of growth, change and economic uncertainty.
Throughout his career, Paul has held senior relationship, leadership and lending roles, developing extensive expertise in credit and risk assessment, structuring finance and portfolio management.
Paul holds the Chartered Banker Diploma in Lending Skills.
